A Note from the Author

I’ll be honest: I wrote Home Logger because I wanted an easier way to stay organized.

I bought my home more than a decade ago. If you asked me any of these questions, I wouldn’t have an easy answer:

I could probably find the answers, but only after a lot of searching. I wanted one place to keep track of the work, purchases, documents, and memories that come with owning a home. So I built Home Logger to make my own life easier.

Home Logger is also my first iPhone app. For more than 25 years, I’ve worked on large, multi-user systems that manage company data. I’ve enjoyed bringing that experience together with what I’ve learned as a homeowner.

No ads. No account needed. Your data stays yours.

I don’t like apps filled with constant ads and banners, so Home Logger has no ads.

And there’s no account to create. You don’t need to register with an email address, choose a password, or sign in to use Home Logger. Just open the app and start logging.

I’m also not interested in collecting your home records. They’re yours.

You should be able to export your information in a useful format, whenever you want, without being held hostage by an app developer—even if your subscription expires. That’s an important part of how I designed Home Logger.

The free version lets you get started with a home and five Events. An annual subscription—less than the cost of a cup of coffee—unlocks 12 months of adding as many Events as you like across as many Sites as you need. And for me, each subscription is a reminder that someone else finds the software useful. That’s the whole point of writing it!

I hope you enjoy Home Logger. If you have ideas, questions, or run into problems, please reach out. I’d love to hear from you. If you send product suggestions, please take a moment to read the Feedback and Suggestions Policy.

Enough reading—start logging!
